Mr. Reynolds was presented the plaque on Thursday, April 20th, at the 64th Annual Tennessee Music Education Association conference. In order to qualify for this award from the Tennessee Bandmaster’s Association, band students have to meet certain requirements throughout the school year. This includes receiving a superior rating in marching band performance at a TBA sanctioned marching competition, and at least the top performing concert ensemble receiving a superior rating at their annual Concert Performance Assessment. In 2019-2020, the Rossview Marching Band of Pride received a superior at Stewart County High School’s Band Between the Lakes Invitational, and during the spring of 2020, both the RHS Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band received straight superior ratings at the Middle Tennessee Band and Orchestra Association’s Concert Performance Assessment.
  • At the State Capitol in Nashville, over 700 students participated in the 70th annual Youth in Government Conference hosted by the YMCA Center for Civic Engagement. The following students were recognized for their excellence in civic affairs. Most Outstanding Statesperson: Londyn Terry, Anna Brown, and Liz Pfiefer.  Most Outstanding Legislation: Anna Brown, Liz Pfeifer, and Hannah Ferreria. Also, Katie Reneau was selected by the YMCA to represent the state of Tennessee at the prestigious Conference on National Affairs. EOC Schedules for April 17-21 and April 25 and Message to Parents

EOC Schedules

TN Ready Message to Parents

We will begin TNReady testing on Monday, April 17th and will conclude on Friday, April 28th. Students who are enrolled in English I, English II, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, US History, and Biology courses will take a TNReady End of Course assessment. Testing will primarily take place first thing in the morning and will last (for most students) until lunchtime. We do have specific procedures regarding technology and personal materials that we wanted to share with you and ask for your support in the implementation of these procedures.

1) Students will not be allowed to have their cell phones in the classroom or in their possession during testing. We have been instructed to collect all cell phones/smart watches/headphones/and earbuds/etc in an individual envelope that is personalized for your student. The aforementioned electronic devices will be secured for the duration of the testing window and returned to students once testing has concluded.

2) Students will have access to their water bottles (if they bring their own) during breaks. These will be housed on counters within the classroom.

3) TNReady assessments will be given through a testing application on your student’s laptop. Please make sure that your student’s laptop is fully charged each night.

4) Testing starts at 7:30 AM. Please make sure that your student has a good night’s sleep, eats breakfast, and is at school by 7:25 AM.

VERY IMPORTANT: In order to ensure a secure testing environment, we will NOT dismiss students who are taking an End of Course exam during the exam period. Please plan appointments and dismissals for after lunchtime during this two-week window.

Please take a moment to partner with us and discuss these expectations with your students as well. In this manner, we can ensure that testing goes smoothly for all students.
