A pep rally was celebrated on Thursday afternoon January 19 to recognize our winter sports and give recognition to awards for Mya Martin, All State for Girls Soccer and Coach Jackson for his 400 basketball game wins!  The pep rally was also held to boost school spirit for the big basketball game Thursday night January 19 against CHS.

During the January 17 School Board meeting, two Rossview High School students were awarded a Point of Pride. Both students made perfect scores on their ACT exams. The perfect composite score is 36. This score is an average of your four section scores for English, Math, Reading, and Science. Getting a perfect score on the ACT is very rare. Out of the nearly 2 million students who take the ACT across America, only around 0.3% of students earn a perfect ACT score. For context, the average ACT score in Tennessee is 19.1, around 17 points lower than the perfect score. Achieving this rare perfect score makes students very competitive for scholarships and admissions.

Did you know that Rossview may be offering American Sign Language next year?  While this class does count as a needed foreign language credit, we will also open this class up as a general elective or academic option.  Any student wishing to take ASL I, can list this class on their registration card, along with a backup class option.
