Congratulations to our Lady Hawks wrestling team who defeated Clarksville High Saturday, February 5 at the Williamson County Expo Center and are now the STATE CHAMPIONS! This was the first year for the girls’ TSSAA wrestling tournament, so they made history as the first female team state wrestling champions! We are SO proud of them.

The RHS CTE Fire Management Program was blessed with a female representative from the Fort Campbell Fire Department sharing her story from a female perspective.

As communicated last semester, effective 2021-2022, all school systems in Tennessee are required to implement a program of family life education (T.C.A. 49-6-1302). In the fall, CMCSS sought feedback from teachers, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders on three proposed Family Life Curriculum resources that could be used by educators to teach the required components. After reviewing feedback with the CMCSS School Board, District leaders paused the process to seek additional guidance from the Tennessee Department of Education, legal counsel, and other districts across Tennessee. 

CMCSS is inviting all stakeholders to engage in the Family Life Curriculum development process by participating in one of the upcoming public meetings. At the meetings, District personnel will engage with stakeholders to address the following questions: 

• What materials or textbooks will be used to develop the CMCSS curriculum?
• How will teachers and students access the curriculum? 
• What is required to be taught?

Rossview Academy “Fire Management” under the supervision of Caleb Slaughter teaches his students to take blood pressure and check vitals on January 26, 2022.

Senior Basketball Players (Boys and Girls), Cheerleaders and Dance Teams were recognized at the basketball game against West Creek on January 25.  The Boys won by a score of 92-62 and the Lady Hawks won by a score of 57-24.

The RHS Basketball teams played CHS on January 18, 2022.  The Lady Hawks won by a score of 41-40 and the Boys fell short by a score of 47-65.
