April is Month of the Military Child. This year, the Tennessee Commissioner of the Military Interstate Children’s Compact is partnering with County Mayor Jim Durrett for a presentation and proclamation during the Montgomery-County Informal Meeting. She is inviting military dependent students and their parents to “PURPLE UP? by joining her during this meeting and wearing purple in honor of the military child. Anyone wishing to participate should email Deanna M. McLaughlin at [email protected] with student’s name, grade, school name, and name/rank of military service member parent before Friday March 23rd.

Congratulations to the RHS Speech team and to Asa Ruiz who competed in the National Speech and Debate Association’s TN State national qualifying tournament on March 1-2. Asa Ruiz placed 6th in United States Extemporaneous speaking.

The RHS Playhouse presented “Tuck Everlasting” on March 1-3. What a great performance.

The Lady Hawks closed their basketball season with a loss to Beech by a score of 41-51 on February 23. Great Season!

Congratulations to our Boys Basketball team who beat Kenwood in the District playoffs on February 20 by a score of 45-36.

The Rossview community is saddened by the severity of the storms this weekend, but are thankful no lives were lost. Please know that we are here to help in any way and to support our students. The Boys Basketball team lost to Henry County by a score of 56-67 on February 17.

The girls basketball team beat CHS by a score of 50-41 on February 17.

The Boys Basketball team beat Henry County by a score of 70-39 on February 16.
