“Meet the Hawks is Back”. Fall Sports (Football, Volleyball, Girls Soccer, Golf, Cross Country) and Coaches, Winter and Spring Coaches, Dance Team, Cheerleaders and Band were introduced at “Meet the Hawks” on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. So thankful after two years to have this amazing event back!!

Age-Appropriate Materials Act
This information was released at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. As indicated below, please reference the individual school websites for their library collection. Click on “Library Media Center” on the homepage of your school’s website. Library-Media Specialists have access to update their schools’ webpages to keep the library collection current on each school’s page. The links below have been removed to alleviate confusion and ensure stakeholders are accessing the most updated list of materials on each school’s webpage. To find each school’s website, click the following links: Elementary, Middle, and High.
In accordance with the TN Age-Appropriate Materials Act, CMCSS has a policy and procedure to ensure that each school’s library collection is developed and periodically reviewed in accordance with state law and has a procedure to receive and evaluate feedback from students, parents/guardians, and employees of each school.
A list of each school’s library collection is linked below. In the future, a list of each school’s library collection will be found on each school’s website via the “Library Media Center” link on the homepage.

Any student, parent or guardian of a student, or school employee may provide feedback regarding one or more of the materials in the library collection of the student’s or employee’s school by submitting a request for reconsideration. The request must be submitted to the school’s principal.

2022 Homecoming T-Shirts for Sale starting Friday August 12
The 2022 Homecoming game is on Friday, September 9. T-shirts go on sale tomorrow! They are pre-order only and the cost is $20.00. You can order until August 22.
This is a fundraiser for the Junior Class of 2024 and all proceeds will go toward their Prom. Please support your juniors and purchase a t-shirt!!!

Latin Students Compete at the National Latin Convention
Rossview High Latin teacher and JCL Sponsor, Alyssa Sanchez, and four students attended the National Latin Convention: Wyatt Roder, Logan Graff, Isabella Ochoa, and Jia Do. All four students placed first in at least one event.
- Logan Graff placed tenth in Ancient Geography and eighth in 200 meter spring.
- Isabella Ochoa placed sixth in Classical Art and eighth in derivatives.
- Jia Do placed fifth in Classical Art and third in Impromptu Art.
Wyatt Roder placed first in the nation in Latin Literature, Roman Life, Academic Heptathlon, Latin Vocabulary, Mythology, and Reading Comp. He placed second in Latin Derivatives and Latin Grammar. He placed third in Mottos and fourth in Roman History. He lead the advanced Tennessee Certamen team to a second place win taking the team to the finals for the first time since 2006. He also placed first in academic Decathlon as a Latin III beating students who have taken Latin 6+ years to win $500. Overall, Wyatt placed third in overall academic and sixth place in overall sweepstakes winners.
