I grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. My undergraduate work was at the University of Tennessee, at Knoxville, where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. My graduate degree is from Trevecca Nazarene where I focused on administration. This is starting my 29th year of teaching. I have taught a variety of subjects such as U.S. History, World History, Geography, Government, Civics, and Economics. My children are Hunter who is 23 and works at Dominos and Megan who is 19 and a student at Gonzaga. I have three cats named Chloe, Bootsie, and Mandy. In my spare time, I love to run and be outside. I always have something to read, and I love to find bargains shopping! I am the Club Sponsor of the Class of 2020 and one of the Key Club sponsors. Activities I participate in are bake sales, car washes, t-shirt sales, and homecoming floats.

  5. Stay at your seats until the bell rings.

When you are absent it is your responsibility to get your missing work.  Please check the board for what we did.  I follow school board policy for your work. If it is notes, ask someone to copy their notes, worksheet or other type of assignment, see me.

Late work

I do take late work but points will be deducted.

I am looking forward to this school year. I try to use lots of different methods in my class.  I really try to work with my students because I want them to succeed.  But everybody needs to do their part too.  If you are struggling, please come talk to me.

If we are not using the computers for class work, they need to be closed and put away. If we are using them in class, you need to be on the program or website that we are using and not playing games or working on something else.   We will not be taking notes on the computer.
