I grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Upon graduating high school, I attended the University of Tennessee, at Knoxville, where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Several years later I earned my graduate degree from Trevecca Nazarene where I focused on administration. I recently finished my EDS at Arkansas State. This year will be my 32nd year of teaching. I have taught a variety of subjects such as U.S. History, World History, Geography, Government, Civics, and Economics.
My children are Hunter, age 26 and works at Woody’s; Megan is 22 and working on her masters at Gonzaga. I have three cats named Chloe, Bootsie, and Mandy. In my spare time, I love to run and be outside. I always have something to read. And I love to find bargains while shopping!
In my class, you will learn about micro and macroeconomics. I will use different activities and strategies to help you learn.
I love interacting with my students. I am excited about this year and the Class of 2022.

When you are absent it is your responsibility to get your missing work.  Please check the board for what we did.  I follow school board policy for your work. If it is notes, ask someone to copy their notes, worksheet or other type of assignment, see me.

Late work

I do take late work but points will be deducted.

I am looking forward to this school year. I try to use lots of different methods in my class.  I really try to work with my students because I want them to succeed.  But everybody needs to do their part too.  If you are struggling, please come talk to me.

Computers

If we are not using the computers for class work, they need to be closed and put away. If we are using them in class, you need to be on the program or website that we are using and not playing games or working on something else.   We will not be taking notes on the computer.
